Project Prime

Project Prime is an initiative spearheaded by NUS Enterprise and NUS Asian Institute of Digital Finance to spur innovation and entrepreneurship in the areas of Fintech, Blockchain, and Artificial Intelligence.  

The programme focuses on early stage projects and provide targeted support such as: 

  1. Business Model Canvas  
  2. Market Validation 
  3. Mentorship 
  4. Pitch Training 
  5. Investor Introduction 

Projects graduate when a Minimum Viable Product has been completed, set up a company entity, or acquired paying customer.  

What to expect

1. Regular Follow Up and Check in 

Accepted teams are tracked and followed closely by a team of mentors and administrators for the first 3 months. This is to build momentum and get the teams to the next stage as soon as possible. 

2. Market Validation Assistance 

Teams may be introduced to relevant industry partners and businesses to do an initial market validation. 

3. Eligiblity for NUS Enterprise Hangar Incubation Support 

Where applicable, teams will be considered for incubation support from NUS Enterprise Hangar. Such support includes but not limited to hot desking space, networking events and access to the Hangar community. 

4. Eligibility for NUS VIP Grant 

Where applicable, teams will be considered for an ideation grant of SGD $10,000. The team MUST have a member who is either a current NUS student or alumni. Subject to the student(s) submitting an application with acceptable milestones and usage of funds, and to the standard T&Cs of the NUS Enterprise Venture Initiation Programme. 

5. Green Lane to NUS-FT Blockchain Hackathon

Where applicable, projects are automatically considered for NUS-FT Blockchain Hackathon. There, they get to pitch in front of a team of investors and businesses.  

6. Green Lane to NUS GRIP Prime 

Where Applicable, teams may qualify for NUS GRIP Prime.

There is no cost to teams to enroll.  

Eligibility

  • Teams should be at the initial stage. 
  • Teams have not been incorporated. 
  • Teams should at least have one member who is a NUS student or alumni.
